Uploading documents is now as easy as dragging and dropping a file with our new document upload UI.
It’s now possible to use Meilisearch Cloud to add new documents, or replace existing documents.
Adding Documents to a New Index
To add create an index and add documents, select your project and navigate to your index list.

If your project is running Meilisearch v1.0
or higher, you’ll now see an option to “Create an index”.
Clicking this button will walk you through the process of creating a new index:

and uploading documents:

Once the documents are uploaded the indexing process is queued for processing.
Adding Documents to an existing index
You can also add documents to an existing index by navigating to the Index list of your project and using the new +
button.

Ensure your documents being uploaded have a unique ID. If you upload a document with the same ID as a document already existing in the index, the newly uploaded document will overwrite the existing document.
